Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description

As a member of the Embedded Systems group, the engineer will develop real-time embedded software solutions for control, tracking, and complex processing systems. The engineer will implement these software solutions in real-time using a mix of software and FPGA-based hardware acceleration. Conform implementations to ATA-developed “system on chip” (SOC) architecture.

The Embedded Software Engineer’s duties will include: 

  • - Decompose functional requirements into tractable engineering objectives

  • - Interface software to FPGA devices and designs

  • - Develop, code, test and validate real-time software implementations of control and processing
     
      algorithms assisted by FPGA hardware acceleration

Required: 

  • - Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering (Electrical, Computer System Software, Aerospace, etc.)
     
      from an accredited four-year university with more than five years of experience in real-time
     
      embedded software processing systems and FPGA interfaces

  • - U.S. Person able to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance

Desired: 

  • - Master's Degree in Engineering or other relevant Engineering (Electrical, Computer System
     
      Software, Aerospace, etc.) from an accredited four-year university with more than ten years of
     
      experience in real-time embedded software processing systems and FPGA interfaces

  • - Current Secret DoD clearance
