Software Integration Engineer

Job Description

The engineer will serve as a software integration engineer in support of an Air Force Research Laboratory contract. The engineer will be an integral member of a joint Government and contractor team that operates in a very dynamic environment supporting the Joint Emerging Operational Need (JEON) effort to enhance capabilities for the National Space Defense Center (NSDC). The engineer’s duties will include integrating a wide range of data at various classification levels across multiple software testbeds at various stages of maturity. Secondarily, the engineer may be required to assist on other tasks as needed.

Required: 

  • - Bachelors of Science degree or equivalent in relevant Engineering (Computer Science, Computer
     
      Engineering, or Software Engineering preferred) from an accredited four-year university

  • - Minimum of 5 years Software Integration experience with an emphasis on building, integrating,
     
      testing and installing software

  • - Current TS/SCI clearance or adjudication within the last 2 years

  • - Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse technical teams

  • - Ability to maintain accurate and complete project documentation

  • - Experience preparing and executing integration test procedures and supporting integration into a
     
      larger customer system architecture

  • - Experience working within a collaborative, distributed, team environment

  • - Experience ensuring proper setup, configuration, and functionality of systems being deployed

  • - Ability to contribute to the development of new processes

  • - Experience ensuring proper setup, configuration, and functionality of systems being deployed

  • - Experience independently troubleshooting software and hardware issues to resolution

  • - Experience in object-oriented analysis and design techniques

  • - Knowledge of Web Services

  • - Knowledge of network and application security

  • - Experience leading an engineering team

  • - Require minimum oversight to accomplish directed tasks

Desired: 

  • - Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering

  • - Experience with Space Situational Awareness (SSA) and Space Surveillance Network (SSN) assets

  • - Experience performing systems integration engineering in support of DoD Aerospace programs
     
      is preferred

  • - Experience with large integration projects is highly desired

  • - Experience in business development and creating new program opportunities with new and existing
     
      customers

  • - Demonstrated leadership experience

Primary Location: Albuquerque, NM
Travel: Yes, approximately 10% of the time
