IT Help Desk Coordinator/Analyst

Job Description

Applied Technology Associates (ATA) is currently searching for a qualified IT Help Desk Coordinator/Analyst. The successful candidate will primarily serve as the single point of contact for all ATA employees to resolve their IT needs. The successful candidate will serve as the coordinator between ATA and the ATA IT support contractor.

The successful candidate must be an enthusiastic and driven self-starter who runs towards problems and issues with a desire to fix them. The candidate must be an effective communicator and able to interact with all levels of management within the company.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • - Serve as the single point of contact for all ATA employees to resolve their IT needs

  • - Serve as the coordinator between ATA and the ATA IT support contractor

  • - Analyze problems and provides technical assistance, support, and advice to end users for
      hardware, software, and systems

  • - Serve as the coordinator between ATA and the ATA IT support contractor

  • - Talk with co-workers to research problems and find solutions

  • - Write or revise IT user-training manuals and procedures

  • - Train users on software and hardware or recommends outside contractors to provide training

  • - Call software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products

  • - Obtain quotes for IT related hardware, software, and materials

  • - Manage and track procurement of approved IT purchases

  • - Manage licensing of ATA purchased commercial software and assist users in deploying

  • - Maintain client-side systems

  • - May conduct office automation feasibility studies, including workflow analysis, space design,
      and cost comparison analysis

  • - Perform all other duties as assigned


  • - High School Diploma

  • - 5+ years in a Helpdesk or IT Support environment

  • - Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • - Self-starter requiring minimal direction

  • - Experience with Windows hardware and software troubleshooting and Microsoft Office

  • - May be required to work a flexible schedule on rare occasions, including nights, weekends,
      and holidays

  • - U.S. Citizen


  • - Experience with Linux operating systems

  • - Experience with telephone PBX and/or VOIP systems

  • - Experience testing computer systems to determine criticality of component loss

  • - Experience prioritizing importance of components and developing recommendations for recovering
      losses and using backup equipment

  • - Experience recommending improvements in networks and computer systems

  • - Experience upgrading systems and correcting errors to maintain system after implementation
