PNT Technologies Systems Engineer

Job Description

The successful candidate will serve as a systems engineer for the STRIVE Program and will be an integral member of a joint Government and contractor team that operates in a very dynamic environment. The candidate will perform as part of the core systems engineering group for the Advanced GPS Technologies and Navigation Technology Satellite 3 Programs.

Essential Functions: 

  • - Analysis, planning, and documentation for research activities related to advanced Satellite
      Positioning, Navigation, and Timing signal concepts

  • - Researching technical topics as needed to: develop and model advanced concepts; complete
      analyses of current risks, problems and issues; comprehend or verify claims made by
      external purveyors of new concepts; and identify and illuminate avenues for future AGT
      research activities

  • - Preparing technical documents in support of Government technology development activities,
      including technical baseline documents

  • - Preparing space mission plans and architecture descriptions, estimates, and justifications in
      response to Government direction

  • - Reviewing technical documentation from suppliers/vendors for completeness, accuracy, and

  • - Establishing and maintaining familiarity with GPS program of record technical documentation
      (to the degree made available) and be able to address questions relating AGT/NTS-3 efforts to
      such information

  • - Assisting AGT/NTS-3 technical personnel with development of technical documentation as tasked,
      such as objectives, requirements, verification plans, and technical presentations

  • - Other duties as assigned

  • - Bachelors of Engineering in any of the following concentrations: Aerospace, Electrical, Systems,
      Mechanical, and/or Software or 6 years of related experience

  • - Must be a U.S. Citizen, able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Top Secret Clearance


  • - A background and/or previous experience in spacecraft systems or Global Navigation Satellite
      Systems (especially Global Positioning System) engineering

  • - Current U.S. DoD Clearance
